Section 3 Little League Tournament

The Road to Williamsport ended for the Orwigsburg All Stars Thursday night.

The District 24 Little League champions were defeated by a tough Juniata Valley All Star team 12 to 9 at Tunkhannock.

The long ball was the key to Juniata's victory. Orwigsburg led early, behind the pitching of J.R. Kerschner. But two individual home runs in the third inning, and 7 runs with two out in the 4th inning gave Juniata the lead. Orwigsburg battled back, and had home runs from Kyle O'Brien and Will Foster. But a three-run home run in the top of the 5th inning sealed the victory for Juniata County.

Orwigsburg's tournament run ends with the loss. Congratulations to the Orwigsburg All-Stars on a great season.
