PITTSBURGH (AP) - Johnny Cueto limited the Pirates to four
singles while striking out nine during eight dominating inningsto
lead Cincinnati past Pittsburgh 5-0 yesterday. The Pirates dropped
two out of three to the Reds over the weekend. They host the
Milwaukee Brewers tonight at home.

PHILADELPHIA (AP) - The Phillies and Mets' were rained out
yesterday. No make up date has been scheduled. The Phillies don't
have to worry about local weather for a few days. They travel to
St. Louis to open a two-game series against the St. Louis
Cardinals.

PITTSBURGH (AP) - Ethopian runner Kassahun Kabiso edged Jim
Jurcevich by three seconds to win the men's division in the
Pittsburgh Marathon. Kristin Price ran away from the rest of the
women's field by finishing more than five minutes ahead of the
runner-up. It was the first Pittsburgh Marathon held in six years.

PHILADELPHIA (AP) - Kenya's Linus Maiyo and Jane Murage paced a
record crowd of more than 26,000 to win Philadelphia's Broad Street
Run in wet conditions yesterday. The runners braved sporadic and
sometimes heavy showers making for slick road conditions.

WASHINGTON (AP) - The Pittsburgh Penguins are back on the ice
tonight for Game 2 of their series against the Washington Capitals.
On Saturday, the Penguins dropped a 3-2 decision to the Capitals,
largely thanks to some clutch goaltending by Washington's Simeon
Varlamov.
