WPPA / T-102 SPORTS / Monday

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP) - DeSean Jackson tied an NFL record
for long touchdowns and carried the Philadelphia Eagles to the top
of the NFC East. Jackson scored on a 72-yard punt return and a
60-yard pass from Donovan McNabb. The Eagles scored their most
points this season in a 45-38 victory over the New York Giants.

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP) - Philadelphia halfback Brian
Westbrook missed his fourth straight game with a concussion as the
Eagles met the Giants in an NFL East showdown. Eagles receiver
Kevin Curtis also was inactive. Curtis has not played in a game
because of an injury to his left knee.

BOSTON (AP) - The Philadelphia Flyers and Boston Bruins are
taking their first look at Fenway Park - hockey-style - before the
clubs meet in the NHL's Winter Classic. Players and personnel from
both teams were given a tour yesterday of the uncompleted rink, the
locker room and other facilities.

PHILADELPHIA (AP) - Juan Fernandez hit seven 3-pointers and
scored a career-high 33 points and Ryan Brooks added 20 points in
Temple's 75-65 victory over No. 3 Villanova. Temple fans bellowed
"Overrated!" moments before they stormed the court in their
biggest win in coach Fran Dunphy's four seasons.

PHILADELPHIA (AP) - Samme Givens had a career-high 24 points and
16 rebounds as Drexel routed St. Francis (Pa.) 57-35. In his first
start of the season, Givens was 9-for-11 from the field and the
Dragons shot 40 percent for the game.
