EAST LANSING, Mich. (AP) - Raymar Morgan and Kalin Lucas madekey free throws late to help Number 11 Michigan State pull out a67-65 win over Penn State last night. The win keeps the Spartans inthe hunt for a share of the Big Ten title. Morgan finished with 16points. Talor Battle and Chris Babb scored 16 points apiece forPenn State.
PITTSBURGH (AP) - Ashton Gibbs hit a 3-pointer several stepsinside the midcourt line just ahead of the final buzzer and Number17 Pittsburgh beat Providence 73-71 last night, securing a doublebye in next week's Big East tournament. Gibbs finished with 25points, and Jermaine Dixon had 24. Jamine Peterson had 24 pointsand 18 rebounds for Providence.
