ATLANTA (AP) - Marvin Williams scored 21 points and JamalCrawford added 20 as the Atlanta Hawks beat the Philadelphia 76ers112-93 last night. Joe Johnson added 18 points, Al Horford had 12and Mike Bibby 11 for the Hawks. Lou Williams led the Sixers with30 points. He hit his first 10 shots and finished 11 for 15 fromthe field and 7 of 10 on free throws.

PITTSBURGH (AP) - Newly acquired forward Alex Ponikarovsky won'tplay for the Pittsburgh Penguins against the Rangers in New Yorktonight because he doesn't have a U.S. work visa. But becausePonikarovsky became a Canadian citizen while playing for theToronto Maple Leafs, obtaining the visa is expected to take only acouple of days.

SUNRISE, Fla. (AP) - Michael Frolik scored twice, David Boothhad a goal and three assists and the Florida Panthers snapped aseven-game losing streak with a 7-4 win over Philadelphia lastnight. Steven Reinprecht, Jason Garrison and Stephen Weiss addedgoals for the Panthers. Daniel Briere, Jeff Carter, Ville Leino andRyan Parent scored for the Flyers.

CLEARWATER, Fla. (AP) - Phillies top pitching prospect PhillippeAumont allowed five runs in the third inning of Philadelphia's 13-6win against Florida State last night. Aumont, one of threeprospects the Phillies received in an offseason trade that sentCliff Lee to Seattle, took over for starter J.A. Happ in the thirdinning of the exhibition.

TAMPA, Fla. (AP) - Alex Rodriguez went 1 for 2, Colin Curtis hita game-winning three-run homer in the ninth, and the New YorkYankees beat the Pittsburgh Pirates 6-3 yesterday in their springopener. Ramiro Pena also homered for New York. Ramiro Pena alsohomered for New York.

OLEAN, N.Y. (AP) - Chris Matthews and Andrew Nicholson scored 21points each as St. Bonaventure beat Duquesne 92-80 last night.Michael Davenport added 17 points for the Bonnies. Damien Saundershad 17 points and 13 rebounds, and Bill Clark added 16 points forDuquesne.

ST. LOUIS (AP) - Lavoy Allen had 18 points and 14 rebounds, andNumber 20 Temple beat Saint Louis 57-51 last night. With the win,the Owls remain tied for first place in the Atlantic 10. JuanFernandez added 17 points and Ryan Brooks had 13 for Temple. WillieReed led Saint Louis with 16 points.

BETHLEHEM, Pa. (AP) - CJ McCollum scored 19 points to lead fourLehigh players in double figures in a 64-45 win over Army in thePatriot League quarterfinals last night. The top-seeded MountainHawks shot 55.3 percent from the field. Cleveland Richard led Armywith nine points and five assists.

PHILADELPHIA (AP) - Rodney Green scored 30 points to lead LaSalle to an 89-78 win over Massachusetts last night. JerrellWilliams added 14 points, while Aaric had 13 points for La Salle.Ricky Harris hit eight 3-pointers on his way to scoring 31 pointsfor Massachusetts.

STATE COLLEGE, Pa. (AP) - Penn State coach Coquese (ko-KWEES)Washington doesn't want her team to dwell on the last month withthe Lady Lions headed to the Big Ten tournament. Penn State closedthe regular season on a 1-8 skid after starting the year 15-4 andbreaking into the AP Top 25.
