NEW YORK (AP) - The New York Yankees will try again to wrap up
their 27th World Series title when they host the Philadelphia
Phillies in Game 6 tonight. Andy Pettitte will start for the
Yankees on three days' rest against Pedro Martinez, who was the
losing pitcher in Game 2.

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (AP) - There was a college basketball upset last
night in Syracuse, where Division II Lemoyne beat the Orange 82-79
in an exhibition game. Syracuse led 79-78 until Christopher Johnson
drained a three-pointer with 8.3 seconds left. Johnson had 22
points for Lemoyne.

RENTON, Wash. (AP) - Edgerrin James may have played his final
NFL game after being waived by the Seattle Seahawks yesterday.
James carried 46 times for 125 yards, averaging just 2.7 yards per
run after signing with the Seahawks in August.

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (AP) - The Tampa Bay Rays have traded
second baseman Akinori Iwamura (ah-kih-NOHR'-ee ih-wah-MOOR'-uh) to
the Pittsburgh Pirates for right-handed reliever Jesse Chavez.
Iwamura hit .290 with one homer and 22 RBIs in 69 games during the
final season of his three-year contract, missing 81 games with a
knee injury. Chavez led all major league rookies with 73
appearances in 2009, going 1-4 with a 4.01 ERA in 67 1-3 innings.
