Al Harrington contributed 15, Tracy McGradyscored 14 and Wilson Chandler had 12 points and 11 rebounds for theKnicks. Jrue Holiday led the Sixers with 18 points.

(AP) - Talk of a megatrade kept baseballbuzzing yesterday following an ESPN report the PhiladelphiaPhillies were thinking about asking the St. Louis Cardinals ifthey'd like to swap star first basemen. Phillies general managerRuben Amaro Junior denied the team had discussed trading RyanHoward for Albert Pujols.

BRADENTON, Fla. (AP) - Philadelphia Phillies third basemanPlacido Polanco sprained his right knee during yesterday's 5-1 lossto the Pittsburgh Pirates. Polanco was hurt while trying to catchDelwyn Young's pop single that landed just behind the mound in thesecond inning. He was expected to return to playing by the end ofthis week.

PITTSBURGH (AP) - Inside linebacker Larry Foote is returning tothe Pittsburgh Steelers, signing a three-year contract after aseason in Detroit. Foote started for the Steelers when they won theSuper Bowl during the 2004 and 2008 seasons, but chose to sign withhis hometown Lions last year because he knew the Steelers plannedto make Lawrence Timmons a starter.

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) - Ohio State, coming off its sixthconsecutive Big Ten title, drew a Number 2 seed and will play15th-seeded St. Francis, Pennsylvania, in the opening round of theNCAA women's basketball tournament. St. Francis, the NortheastConference champions, will take on the Buckeyes at 12:06 p.m.Sunday.

DUNEDIN, Fla. (AP) - Jamie Moyer hit a rough patch in his latestouting for the Philadelphia Phillies, giving up five runs in threeinnings to Toronto in a 'B' game yesterday. Moyer, the oldestplayer in the majors at 47, allowed eight hits. He had hernia andknee surgery during the offseason.

VILLANOVA, Pa. (AP) - Villanova's Scottie Reynolds is down tohis own Final Four. He has four more notable basketballaccomplishments set to add to his bio as his college career windsdown: win a national championship, earn All-American honors, setthe school's career scoring record and hear his name called in theNBA draft. Reynolds is on target to graduate in May.

PHILADELPHIA (AP) - DirecTV and Versus have reached a deal aftermore than six months to return the sports network to the satellitetelevision service. DirecTV dropped Versus after their contractconcluded at the end of August and the two sides were not able toreach an agreement. They said yesterday that Versus will return tothe same packages as before.
