PITTSBURGH (AP) - The Pittsburgh Penguins were once down two
games in their Eastern Conference semifinal series with the
Washington Capitals. Now they are one victory away from claiming
the series. Game 6 is tonight at home with the Penguins riding a
three-game win streak.

NEW YORK (AP) - Livan Hernandez survived a shaky start to go six
innings and the New York Mets recorded their seventh straight
victory, 8-4 over the Pittsburgh Pirates yesterday. Pittsburgh is
off until tomorrow when they host the St. Louis Cardinals.

PHILADELPHIA (AP) - Casey Kotchman had three hits and three RBIs
for the Atlanta Braves in a 4-2 victory over the Philadelphia
Phillies yesterday. It was the Phillies' second straight loss. The
Phillies are off until tomorrow when they host the Los Angeles
Dodgers.
