PITTSBURGH (AP) - Forward Alex Kovalev is again a Penguins after
Pittsburgh acquired him from the Ottawa Senators for a conditional
draft pick. The deal announced yesterday was Pittsburgh's second in
four days as the Penguins try to shore up their banged-up lineup.
Kovalev played for the Pens from 1998 through the 2002-3 season.
PITTSBUGH (AP) - Penguins defenseman Brooks Orpik will miss from
four to six weeks with a broken finger on his right hand. Coach Dan
Bylsma updated Orpik's status as the team was hitting the road.
Orpik was hurt in the first period against San Jose earlier this
week when he was struck in the hand by a puck. The Penguins face
the Carolina Hurricanes tonight.

dominant yesterday afternoon as they blanked Florida State 8-0.
Seven pitchers, starting with Naylor, combined on a four hitter.
Ryan Howard hit a two-run double in the first inning of the win.
PHILADELPHIA (AP) - Holy Family University basketball coach John
O'Connor has resigned following a conflict with former player Matt
Kravchuk, according to one of the school's players. The decision

elbowed in the face by O'Connor -- resulting in a bloody nose and
bruised lip.
