EASTON, Pa. (AP) — Jim Mower hit a school-record 10 3-pointers en route to a career-high 37 points as Lafayette rallied to defeat Fairleigh Dickinson 85-74 last night. Mower, a senior guard, came into the game needing 19 points to surpass1,000 career points. He shot 12 of 16 from the field and 10 of 13 from beyond the arc to break the previous mark of nine 3-pointers.
COLLEGE PARK, Md. (AP) — Lynetta Kizer scored a career-high 25 points, Alyssa Thomas added 21, and Number 8 Maryland remained unbeaten with a 94-71 victory over Saint Joseph's last night. Tianna Hawkins contributed 17 points and 12 rebounds, and Laura Mincy had 14 points and nine rebounds for the Terrapins, who have won all their games by double figures.
PISCATAWAY, N.J. (AP) — Khadijah Rushdan scored 16 points and Number 13 Rutgers turned in its best defensive effort of the season with a 68-40 victory over Lehigh last night. April Sykes added 11 points and Monique Oliver had 10 as the Scarlet Knights (4-0) continued their best start since 2005-06.

The longtime defensive coordinator took over for Joe Paterno after the Hall of Famer got fired by school trustees in the aftermath of child sex abuse charges against retired assistant coach Jerry Sandusky.
HARRISBURG, Pa. (AP) — A judge says those involved in the case of former Penn State assistant coach Jerry Sandusky can't disclose the name of an individual described by his lawyers as a victim of and witness to child sexual abuse. The judge signed an order yesterday at the request of two State College attorneys that instructs court officials and the parties to refer to him as "John Doe."
