ANAHEIM, Calif. (AP) - Claude Giroux scored 3:29 into overtime and the Philadelphia Flyers rallied from a three-goal deficit for a 4-3 victory over the Anaheim Ducks, who collapsed in coach Bruce Boudreau's debut. Jaromir Jagr scored two power-play goals and Scott Hartnell tied it with 3:02 left in regulation for the Flyers.
Ilya Bryzgalov made 19 saves in Philadelphia's return from a five-day break.

RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) - The Penguins are in Carolina to take on the Hurricanes tonight. The Pens are coming off a 2-1 victory over the Capitals on Thursday.

PHILADELPHIA (AP) - Eagles coach Andy Reid says he is focused on getting better and isn't concerned about his job security. Philadelphia lost 31-14 at Seattle Thursday night to fall to 4-8 on the season. Philadelphia, which has reached the playoffs nine of the last 11 years, needs to win its remaining four games to avoid
only its second losing record since 2000.

PITTSBURGH (AP) - Troy Polamalu says he fears one day he will take a blow to the head that will result in serious long-term negative effects on his brain. But the Steelers safety says he isn't going to change his style of play or torpedo-like manner of tackling. It was his first comments to the media since being knocked out of a win against Kansas City due to concussion-like symptoms five days ago, Polamalu said he feels good.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Tennessee Titans coach Mike Munchak says you can't believe everything you hear, saying he has not contacted his alma mater Penn State about its coaching vacancy. A StateCollege.com report linked the Titans head coach to the Penn State job though Munchak previously said he wouldn't be a candidate
for the position. The former Penn State lineman says he's focused on the Titans' game Sunday against Buffalo.

PITTSBURGH (AP) - Pittsburgh and Syracuse meet on Saturday in what could best be described as a playoff game. Both the Panthers and the Orange need a win to become bowl eligible. This could be the final Big East game for both schools. Pitt and Syracuse are moving to the ACC by 2014, a move that could come sooner.

PITTSBURGH (AP) - Pittsburgh junior point guard Travon Woodall is out a month with a groin strain and an abdominal tear. Coach Jamie Dixon says Woodall will need four to five weeks of rest but will not require surgery. Woodall sustained the injury in the 17th-ranked Panthers' 80-69 win over crosstown rival Duquesne on Wednesday.
