PHILADELPHIA (AP) - Aramis Ramirez and Jeff Baker each had a
two-run double and the Chicago Cubs beat Philadelphia 10-5
yesterday. The loss snapped the Phillies' 10-game winning streak.
The NL East-leading Phillies lost for only the second time in 16
games and fell to .500 at home.The Phillies are at home tonight for
a makeup game against the San Diego Padres.

PITTSBURGH (AP) - Brandon Moss hit Pittsburgh's season-high
fifth homer of the game leading off the ninth inning and the
Pirates won a series against Milwaukee for the first time in nearly
two years. The Pirates rallied to beat the Brewers 8-7 yesterday.
The Pirates travel to Arizona tonight to start up a series with the
Diamondbacks.

PITTSBURGH (AP) - The Boston Red Sox have added one of the
Pirates' middle-of-the-order hitters for the second time in as many
seasons, acquiring first baseman Adam LaRoche for two midlevel
prospects. The Pirates will receive Double-A shortstop Argenis Diaz
and Class-A right-hander Hunter Strickland.

PITTSBURGH (AP) - Pittsburgh Steelers chairman Dan Rooney's four
brothers have signed papers this week transferring majority
ownership of the six-time Super Bowl champions. Rooney and son Art
Rooney II, the team president, are to be the new owners. The
complicated sale, ongoing for nearly a year, is expected to close
within the next several weeks.

PITTSBURGH (AP) - ABC says Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben
Roethlisberger will participate in Shaquille O'Neal's new reality
TV series despite being sued by a woman for alleged sexual assault.
Roethlisberger canceled a news conference set for Thursday to
promote the show, but an ABC spokesman said that production will
proceed as scheduled tomorrow.
