HOUSTON (AP) - Placido Polanco had four hits and two RBIs, and
Raul Ibanez drove in three runs to help the Philadelphia Phillies
beat the winless Houston Astros 8-0 on Friday night. J.A. Happ,
David Herndon, Danys Baez and Jose Contreras combined for the
eight-hit shutout, sending the Astros to an 0-4 start for the first
time since 2007.

PHOENIX (AP) - Chris Young hit a grand slam for his second homer
in two games and matched a career high with five RBIs, leading the
Arizona Diamondbacks to a 9-1 win over the Pittsburgh Pirates on
Friday night. Young's second career slam highlighted a six-run
third inning for Arizona, which improved to 3-1 and equaled its
best start set in 2000.

NEW YORK (AP) - Marian Gaborik broke a second-period tie with
his 42nd goal as the New York Rangers stayed alive in the Eastern
Conference playoff race with a 4-3 victory over the Philadelphia
Flyers last night. The two teams meet again Sunday in Philadelphia
in a game that will determine both teams' postseason prospects.

TORONTO (AP) - The NHL has suspended Pittsburgh Penguins forward
Alexei Ponikarovsky for the final two regular-season games for a
hit during a contest against the New York Islanders. Ponikarovsky
received a major penalty for boarding after a injuring Josh Bailey
in the Penguins' 7-3 win Thursday night. Ponikarovsky received a
game misconduct and will forfeit nearly $22,000 in salary.

PHILADELPHIA (AP) - Carlos Delfino scored 23 points to lead the
Milwaukee Bucks to a 95-90 victory over the Philadelphia 76ers. The
Bucks are jostling for playoff position and entered the game tied
for fifth with Miami in the Eastern Conference. They've won four
straight games. Andre Iguodala led the Sixers with 21 points.

MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. (AP) - A district attorney in Georgia plans
to announce Monday whether charges will be brought in a case of
sexual assault accusations against Steelers quarterback Ben
Roethlisberger. A 20-year-old college student claims the two-time
Superbowl champion sexually assaulted her early March 5 at a club
in Milledgeville.

ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) - The Florida state attorney's office now has
the case against Steelers receiver Santonio Holmes, who is accused
of throwing a glass at a woman. Orlando police say findings of its
investigation were submitted yesterday to the prosecutors for
review and charging decision.

HARRISBURG, Pa. (AP) - A celebrity boxing promoter has been
charged in Pennsylvania with fixing fights and not having a license
when he staged a bout between "Partridge Family" television star
Danny Bonaduce (bahn-uh-DOO'-chee) and a comedian from the Howard
Stern show. Delaware County resident Damon Feldman says his bouts
are purely entertainment and shouldn't be subject to state restrictions.
