PHOENIX (AP) - Mark Reynolds and Adam LaRoche hit consecutive homers during a five-run fourth inning and the Arizona Diamondbacks beat the Philadelphia Phillies 7-4. Kelly Johnson added solo shots in the fifth and seventh innings, Chris Snyder also connected in the fourth and Kris Benson threw six-plus strong innings for the Diamondbacks.

HOUSTON (AP) - Roy Oswalt moved into second place on the Astros' all-time strikeouts list in leading Houston to a 4-3 win over the Pittsburgh Pirates. Carlos Lee had a two-run double and Jeff Keppinger and Pedro Feliz drove in runs for the Astros, who've won six of eight after an 0-8 start.

HOUSTON (AP) - The Pirates have optioned shortstop Argenis Diaz to Triple-A Indianapolis and recalled right-hander Chris Jakubauskas. Diaz was just recalled from the minors on Wednesday. He went 0 for 2 in two pinch-hit appearances. The 31-year-old Jakubauskas was 0-2 with a 4.50 ERA in two starts with Indianapolis.

PHILADELPHIA (AP) - The Philadelphia Eagles have selected South Florida defensive back Nate Allen in the second round of the NFL draft. They acquired the pick in the trade that sent quarterback Donovan McNabb to Washington. Allen played free safety, though some scouts project him as a cornerback.

PITTSBURGH (AP) - The Pittsburgh Steelers have selected Virginia Tech outside linebacker Jason Worilds in the second round of the NFL draft. The Steelers expect Worilds to help out on special teams while he learns their blitz-heavy 3-4 defense. To choose Worilds, the Steelers bypassed Penn State inside linebacker Sean Lee, a former Pittsburgh high school star.

CORAOPOLIS, Pa. (AP) - The municpal attorney in Coraopolis says he'll review the police file to gauge the conduct of a police officer with Ben Roethlisberger the night the Steelers quarterback was accused of sexual assault in Georgia. Officer Anthony Barravecchio has been described by witnesses as being with the accuser outside the restroom where she claimed to be assaulted.

PHILADELPHIA (AP) - Temple junior forward Lavoy Allen has declared for the NBA draft, although he has not hired an agent. Not hiring an agent allows Allen the option of retaining his
eligibility. Underclassmen who have declared for the draft, but have not hired agents, have until May 8 to withdraw their names and retain their eligibility.

PITTSBURGH (AP) - Sidney Crosby is on such a hot streak, he's picking up points even on days the Pittsburgh Penguins don't play. Crosby was retroactively awarded an assist yesterday on Kris Letang's goal during Pittsburgh's 4-3, three-overtime playoff loss to Ottawa on Thursday night. The Penguins led the Senators 3-2 going into Game 6 of their Eastern Conference first-round series in Ottawa tonight.

LONDON (AP) - Usain Bolt will be competing in Philadelphia today as part of Jamaica's team in the 4-by-100 U.S. versus the world relay. Bolt holds the 100 and 200 world records and won both events in the 2008 Olympics in Beijing.

LONG POND, Pa. (AP) - Pocono Raceway will have corporate sponsorship for its June Cup race for the first time since 1996. Pocono's June 6th race will be called the Gillette Fusion ProGlide
500 Presented by Target. Pocono's June race had been called the Pocono 500 since 1997.
