WPPA / T-102 SPORTS / Saturday

PITTSBURGH (AP) - Jason Heyward homered and drove in three runs
to support Tim Hudson's eight dominating innings and the Atlanta
Braves didn't wait until the late innings to put away Pittsburgh,
beating the Pirates 7-0. It was their fourth consecutive victory.

PHILADELPHIA (AP) - Cole Hamels pitched seven impressive
innings, Ryan Howard and Jayson Werth homered, and the Philadelphia
Phillies beat the Boston Red Sox 5-1. The NL East-leading Phillies
are back to a season-high 11 games over .500. Jimmy Rollins left
the game in the sixth with a right calf strain, and he's day to
day.

MONTREAL (AP) - Flyers agitator Daniel Carcillo won't soon
forget how Canadiens star forward Michael Cammalleri stuck his
tongue out at him as a linesman broke up a skirmish between the two
during Philadelphia's 5-1 loss Thursday. After practice yesterday,
Carcillo said the last person who stuck his tongue out at him was
"probably a girl - a pretty one, too."

UNDATED (AP) - The Philadelphia 76ers have hired TNT analyst
Doug Collins as their coach. Collins went 332-287 in coaching
stints with Chicago, Detroit and Washington. The 76ers made him the
Number 1 overall pick in the 1973 draft, and he played eight
seasons with them.

PITTSBURGH (AP) - The Pittsburgh Steelers find themselves in an
unprecedented situation: preparing for a season that will be absent
their suspended star quarterback until October. Ben
Roethlisberger's six-game suspension has disturbed nearly every
aspect of the Steelers' springtime preparation.
