HOUSTON (AP) - The Pittsburgh Pirates scored 3 in the 11th
inning for a 7-5 win over the Houston Astros yesterday.
Pinch-runner Josh Harrison scored on a passed ball for the first of
Pittsburgh's three runs in the 11th and rookie Alex Presley drove
in his third run of the game later in the inning to lead the
Pirates to victory.

HOUSTON (AP) - Pittsburgh Pirates shortstop Ronny Cedeno began
his rehab assignment in Indianapolis yesterday. Cedeno is on the DL
with a concussion. He was injured July 1st against Washington when
he tried to break up a double play. Manager Clint Hurdle says if
Cedeno progresses as expected, he could return to the Pirates for
the weekend series against the St. Louis Cardinals.

NEW YORK (AP) - The Philadelphia Phillies topped the New York
Mets 8-5 yesterday. Michael Martinez hit a three-run shot for his
first major league homer to back a steady outing by Kyle Kendrick
and help lead the Phils to their seventh straight series win.

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (AP) - The Philadelphia Union beat the New
England Revolution 3-0 last night. Carlos Ruiz and Carlos Valdes
each scored within a 13-minute span early in the first half to help
with the win.

UNDATED (AP) - A person familiar with the NFL labor negotiations
says talks will continue today in New York instead of Minneapolis.
U.S. Magistrate Judge Arthur Boylan had ordered both sides to meet
with him tomorrow in Minneapolis. Now, the court-appointed mediator
is expected to arrive in New York today to oversee talks as the
league and its players work to end a four-month lockout.

PITTSBURGH (AP) - Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben
Roethlisberger will wed next Saturday at a western Pennsylvania
