Friday's Games

Philadelphia 9, Cincinnati 7, 10 innings

PHILADELPHIA (AP) - Ryan Howard hit a two-run homer in the 10th inning after Philadelphia Phillies scored six runs in the ninth, coming back to stun the Cincinnati Reds 9-7 last night. Raul Ibanez opened the 10th with a double off Arthur Rhodes and Howard went the opposite way for his 17th homer of the season.

PHILADELPHIA (AP) - Phillies right fielder Jayson Werth says he snapped at a fan who caught a foul ball Thursday that denied the team a potential third out because he was caught up "in the heat of the moment." The fan had a young son with him, who appeared frightened that Werth had screamed at his dad. Werth said yesterday that he feels bad for the fan and his son.

Milwaukee 5, Pittsburgh 4, 10 innings

MILWAUKEE (AP) - The Milwaukee Brewers snapped a five-game losing streak with a 5-4 victory over the Pittsburgh Pirates last night.
