WASHINGTON (AP) - A ninth-inning wild pitch led the the
Pittsburgh Pirates to a 2-1 victory over the Washington Nationals
last night. It gave the Pirates a season-high five straight
victories. They will go for this season's sixth straight win
tonight against the Nationals.

CINCINNATI (AP) - The Phillies winning streak is over. Aaron
Harang limited the NL's highest-scoring lineup to a solo homer last
night in defeating the Phillies, 5-1 last night. It ends the
Phillies' winning streak at five games. The two teams meet again
this afternoon.

PHILADELPHIA (AP) - Flyers rehabbing for next season has begun
for two players. Captain Mike Richards has started using small
weights as he recovers from surgery on both shoulders. Center Danny
Briere's eyes are still sensitive to light a day after having
corrective eye surgery.

PITTSBURGH (AP) - Pittsburgh police say former Steelers running
back Najeh Davenport chased a suspected thief who drove away in
Davenport's car before smashing it into four parked vehicles. The
suspect 22-year-old Rodney Green faces theft and hit-and-run
charges.
