CHICAGO (AP) - Freddy Sanchez had Pittsburgh's first six-hit
game in 19 years, scored four runs, and drove in three to help the
Pirates beat the Cubs 10-8. Pittsburgh gave the Cubs their eighth
straight loss.

PHILADELPHIA (AP) - Wes Helms homered and drove in four runs as
the Florida Marlins beat the Philadelphia Phillies 5-3. Ryan Howard
hit a pair of homers for the NL East-leading Phillies. Jamie Moyer
failed in his fifth try to earn his 250th win.

BENSALEM, Pa. (AP) - Roberto Alvarado Jr. rode to victory for
the 2,000th time on Memorial Day. He achieved the feat in the
seventh race at Philadelphia Park aboard a horse named
Taleitlikeitain't.

PITTSBURGH (AP) - The agent of Steelers linebacker James
Harrison says the player's son remains in a Pittsburgh hospital,
although the family had hoped he could have gone home yesterday.
The 2-year-old is doing fine after a dog bit his leg.
